Product update:
On Thursday 3 June 2021, AC SAF / KNMI plans to upgrade its software suite that produces the operational AC SAF ozone profile and aerosol products. The upgrade is planned between 07:00 - 11:00 CET and should cause only a short delay in the delivery of products while the upgrade is ongoing.
Affected products:
- Vertical ozone profiles products: software version 2.10, algorithm version 2.10, output product format 4.70, configuration version 2.01
- Aerosol products: software version 2.10, algorithm version 1.40, output product format 4.70, configuration version 1.54
Main changes in this release:
- Following the methodology described in Trees et al. [2020] we implemented a correction for the radiance in locations that are affected by a solar eclipse. This correction is location, time and wavelength dependent. The actual application of this correction is signaled to the user by QualityInput flag nr. 20, which is normally 0 and turns to 1 where applied on a scan line level basis. This affects the NAR, NAP and AAH product and the internal FRESCO retrieval.
- Bugfix: The parameter NWP_Model_O3_DU is now filled in the orbit files
The product user manual (PUM) and the ATBD for the respective products have been updated. An example of the improvement can be seen in the figure below (corrected data on the right).
