Product update:

On Tuesday 14th of May KNMI plans to do an operating system and PGE upgrade of the operational processors for the ozone profile, aerosol and SIF products, and derived L3 grids.

The upgrade will start around 05:00 UTC and will likely take 4 to 8 hours to complete. During the upgrade no products will be produced.

The most important upgrades are related to:

• Use of DLER v4 in all products (was v2.1), which is signalled by updated version numbers of the software, algorithm, and output product format
• Code changes due to compiler version updates
• Removal of nadir static data from L3 grids
• Updates to L3 product field names and units to make them CF compliant (O3 profile and TRO products)
• Preparations for AAI version 3 (HG cloud corrections)
• Adding SurfaceAlbedo, CloudHeight and Alpha to AAI output product
• SIF: introduction of long-term instrument degradation correction, updates to calculation of principal components

Bugfixes:

• Filling in ScanDirection in the O3 profile products
• SIF: Fixes to interpolation of SMR to earthshine wavelengths (correct application of slit function)

After the upgrade the following configuration will be in effect:

• NHP/OHP: Software version 2.30 dated 20240412, algorithm version 2.20, output product format 5.00, configuration version 2.10
• AAI/AAH: Software version 3.00 dated 20240412, algorithm version 1.50, output product format 5.00, configuration version 2.10
• SIF: Software version 3.10, algorithm version 1.10, configuration version 0.20
