The end of the 3rd solar visibility loss

At the 9th of April, the GOME-2B L1b processing will switch back from the solar model to the use of daily solar irradiance measurements as the 3rd period of solar visibility loss will end.

The switch may impact L2 product quality to some degree, depending on the derived product.

GOME-2C L1 and L2 data are unaffected.

EUMETSAT will closely monitor the performance of the L1b product quality during the coming weeks and they appreciate any feedback from you concerning data quality during this period of no solar visibility (06/11/2025 - 09/04/2026).
